Who's Who? Megan or Emma?

At 9 months both my children were subjected to a bath tub photo shoot, rated PG-13 for partial nudity. Surely they will forgive me for posting their buns on the internet. Guess who is who:




At this point you can see that we are clearly starting to see some fundamental differences to these very similar looking girls. Megan loves getting her picture taken and has always smiled so big for the camera, prompting many photographers to admit her "star potential." Emma on the other hand was quite traumatized by the whole event and kept looking at me to help her escape the lame faux bathroom setup. We tried for 30 minutes to get the same cute butt shot as her sis Megan, but the tears only increased as she was stuck holding on for dear life to a cold plastic tub with blinding lights flashing in her face.

Also you might note that Megan seems to be a bit chunkier. She was in fact several pounds heavier that her little sis at this age, who barely makes the 20th percentile for weight. In addition, due to her chunky size, you might notice that Megan has a rather large behind. Poor Emma has a skinny behind, but it is clearly NOT flat - freeing her from the doom of her maternal genetic lineage contributions (Amma Joan).

Overall, the girls are still quite similar, in looks and developmentally. Emma is saying "Dada" to daddy and everything else. She is waving bye-bye with her hand and saying "ba-ba." She even signed "more" in sign language, when Megan illegally gave her a bite of popsicle. However, there do seem to be some personality differences we are noticing. In stark contrast to Megan, Emma is very much a simpleton. She likes to play with socks or paper with the concentration and focus of an engineer (oh, gee, what a coincidence). She is easily entertained, low maintenance, and content being fairly quite. If you know Megan, she is pretty much the opposite of all that. While Megan appears to be a lot like mom, I am still convinced that her high maintenance personality stems from Chad...
